Nike SB

Nike SB was founded in 2002, but it wasn’t until later that it earned the respect of real skaters around the world and became a legitimate skateboarding brand. The signing of Paul Rodriguez to the company team in 2004 began a process which was completed in 2011, when the legendary Eric Koston joined from Lakai – his first pro model, the Nike SB Eric Koston, was a huge success.

Other famous Nike skate shoes over the last decade include the Dunk SB, the company’s first shoe designed specifically for skateboarding, and P-Rod’s first Zoom pro model from 2005. One of the most popular models in the current range is Stefan Janoski’s signature Zoom shoe – based on Stefan’s own design and first released way back in 2009, this skateable boat shoe has become one of the brand’s most successful products of all time.

As well as Rodriguez, Janoski and Koston, the Nike SB line-up also features riders such as Shane O’Neill, Sean Malto, Theotis Beasley, Omar Salazar and Alex Olson. Many of the current team featured in Nike’s first full-length skate video, Dan Wolfe’s Nothing But The Truth from 2007, which was followed by Debacle (2009) and the SB Chronicles Vol. 1 (2011) and Vol. 2 (2013).

Nike SB also has a European team including Dani Lebron (Spain), Hjalte Halberg (Denmark), Jarne Verbruggen (Belgium), Lennie Burmeister (Germany), Simo Makela (Finland), Wieger Van Wageningen (Holland) and Michael Mackrodt (Germany). Its

UK line-up is equally impressive, featuring riders such as Landscape’s Joe Gavin and the National Skateboard Company’s Neil Smith.
