Sampled returns for its fourth event combining a streetwear sample sale with a record fair and solo art sale. Having started back in 2011 the event has blossomed and now boasts many of the best brands around at a fraction of their usual price, alongside six of the UK’s best record dealers selling crates of vinyl & CDs at a social event that offers so much more than your typical smash and grab sample sale.

THE BRANDS

The Sampled philosophy is simple; to combine some of the biggest established streetwear and skate brands around with newer up and coming home grown brands that are looking to introduce themselves to new audiences of fans. All selling existing stoke and sample stock for a fraction of their usual price this is a great chance to get that summer wardrobe sorted.

With us for the third time is London based illustrator and artist Sri McKinnon selling prints and special one off pieces over the weekend.

THE CLUB

On Saturday night we take over The Book Club for an all 45’s spectacular! Spinning special sets of 7’ of wax are Ollie Teeba of The Herbaliser, The Doctor’s Orders very own Spin Doctor, Shepdog of Nice Up fame, DJ Mo Fingaz of Main Squeeze & Johnny Roast.

Mark Baines and co will be heading back to Truro in August for the third annual summer Camp WESC!

The weeks available are:
12th-16th August, and
19th-23th August.

Booking is now open with places available for both guys and girls aged 11-18, so act fast if you want to get involved! As ever, some of the UK’s top pros and ams will be on hand throughout the entire week to help you with all your tuition needs, and each camper will receive a a goodie bag full of skate product from the camps sponsors.

Carl was a bowl enthusiast, a regular face at UK events and will be greatly missed by all.

The entire Welsh skate scene will be out in force this coming Sunday May 12th for a special ‘Celebration of Life’ jam at Newport Skatepark. The session officially kicks off at 1pm so get yourself to South Wales and shred in memory of Carl!

RIP mate.

Vivien Feil, Leo Valls, Zach Lyons, Jimmy Lannon, Soy Panday and assorted guests and friends will be at the Whirled Cinema on Saturday May 11th for two screenings of the video – 8pm and 9pm – with an afterparty to follow, all of which is in conjunction with Mile End’s Parlour Skatestore. Entry to the screenings is free but seats are super limited so arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Following the London premiere, the team will be heading out on a street mission around the UK, with further premieres organised for:

May 15th: Bristol – The Big Chill Bar, 7pm.
May 17th: Manchester – Kraak Gallery, 7pm.

As well as the skate session with Skateistan founder Ollie (which also features DJ’s and graffiti artists), there is a series of screenings of the Skateistan short films and a discussion in the Foyer Spaces from 5:30pm.

Rubicon will be putting up a £200 cash prize for the sponsored comp and Nikita will be cooking up a BBQ feast – catering for meaties, veggies and vegans alike. Neon Stash will be organising some tie dye tee-shirt action with a pop up dye session.

The day will start with a 2 hour jam for all ladies with a board, this will run between 1-3pm. This time is especially for those who are not into competing but want the chance to have a roll around the park with everyone else with no pressure. The jam will be followed by the Under 18′s comp, the Over 18′s comp and Miniramp jam. The day will be rounded off as always with the Sponsored comp.
