Sidewalk 192: Vans "Downtown Showdown" - Extension.

10:49AM Thu, 4th October 2012
This years DTSD was tied into the 20th anniversary of the Half Cab, so it only made sense that Steve Cab was there to help kick things off.
An amazing party was thrown in celebration of the shoe, Steve Cab and the artists behind the colourways.
Jim Phillip's colourway.
PNUT colourway.
Jasper approved.
Classic Cab shapes.
OG photos of Max, The Gonz and Mr Stanton rocking Half Cabs.
Ray Barbee and Tommy Guerrero played a set under various lighting.
Pink/purple.
Red.
And blue.
The morning after the night before.
Rob knows how to cope with it.
Like I said, "how to cope with it".
UK Stronghold - part 1.
UK Stronghold - part 2.
Ready to judge.
Ready to organise.
Ready to talk.
Ready to shoot.
Ready to skate?
Ready to Carve.
Kris Vile and his lady were in town to witness.
The only way to get around in The Dam...
...though Manhead found an alternative.
Dykie filming the live feed.
Karim and Lucien were amongst it.
As the final sessions were prepared, Marc attempted to save his voice box.
Crowd hype!
Well traveled and ready to the final obstacle.
Revving up the crowds.
Yep, there were live feeds throughout the venue.
It went off! See the online edits and the article in the current Sidewalk for proof. I didn't want to ask her to move...
Mad loot on the line.
More loot, Flip cashing cheques.
Thanks to Vans for an amazing weekend.
