Today sees the seventh and final interview with Route One riders regarding their trip to Bulgaria last October, with Morleys finest, Joe Lynskey.
Don’t forget to check what the rest of the crew thought of the trip on the Interviews Page, peep a three minute video of offcuts from the trip on the Videos Page, and peep the latest issue of the mag for the full tour article!
What were you expecting of Bulgaria? Did it live up to expectations?
I expected it to be a lot different to be honest, I was expecting it to be more like a typical holiday destination, but it turned out to be pretty ghetto. I hadn’t really looked into it. There were plenty of good women, especially the bird in McDonalds that I had to flirt with every morning to get a free orange juice!
Top 3 spots?
We only went to three didn’t we?
NDK – The hubbas round the back especially.
The manny pad in the random town, despite been wet and windy it was quite sick.
That duck pond – only joking! (laughs)
What was your role in the creation of ‘Hoop Dreams’?
It was a joint effort between me and Makepeace after NASS ’07 to monopolise on the scally porn market. I think the name was a 50-50 thing – we’re in together.
Essentials would be a lip piercing, lots of make-up, offset ponytails and visors! You know you’d be into it! Makepeace will back me up…
Top 5 memorable incidents?
1 – When we went to the strip club and you had the strictest lapdance ever, and then me getting my lapdance and having the bird rub her crotch all over my hand. They were like the total opposites!
2 – When Sam went behind the bar in the club on the last night and we got chased out by the bouncers, and the woman in the toilets at the same club getting pissed off when she thought Manhead was tipping her a full Lev, then I took 80 cents change back!
3 – How could you forget a five hour drive for one spot? Jesus…
4 – The lightening strike outside the hotel on the Saturday night – gnarly!
5 – Chilling out watching Godfather in the hotel on the Saturday night as well, it was like being back home.
Most memorable Amir lyric?
Amir had so many quality rhymes that I can’t really remember any specific ones, but what I do remember is this tune we heard in a random club in Sofia – “I’m a fully grown man, I ain’t no teen, these MCs ain’t seen what I seen” – amazing!
