Classic Nottingham skate photos

Nottingham’s oldest and probably most famous skate spot, the Broadmarsh banks, are currently being totally demolished. Rumours of the banks been demolished have done the round many a time over previous years, though this time the diggers are in and the banks are getting removed, to be replaced by greenery and lighting in an attempt to improve the thoroughfare into the city and the nearby shopping center.

There is also a strong possibility that, with the removal of the banks, the skaters of Nottingham could finally get an official designated area at the opposite end of the Broadmarsh shopping center, but this will only happen through vocal support from the locals.

Get the full lowdown by reading through the thread on the Sidewalk Forum – there you will be able to find details of a current email campaign, as well as links to classic footage and up to date info on the situation.
