Text introduction by Brad Hobbs.

So we arrived at the Bright Tradeshow around 11am on a sleety January morning, and although the Matix “Lord of the Lines” comp did not start until 2pm, there were still skateboarders already warming up on the course.
The course was really well set up, the ledges were really well made and definitely caused excitement amongst all the riders. There was also a mini ramp/vert wall complex that attracted a few people but the main focus was on the the street course.

The Lord of the Lines comp started at 2pm – as it got close to the time a big crowd piled in and everyone’s cameras were out ready to catch the best lines. The contest was crazy and the rule was once you landed 2 tricks in a row you had to carry on without anyone getting in your way: this rule kind of stuck but as everyone wanted their turn it got a bit crazy at times.
By the end, 3rd prize went to Yannik Schaal who won €250, 2nd prize went to Michael Mackrodt who won €500 and 1st place was Danny Pham who won €1000.
