When designing the Nike SB Lunar One Shot, the design team asked themselves an important question: “How can we challenge the status quo and bring something new and innovative to the table?” It resulted into the most data-informed, wear-tested, technology-packed competitive skate shoe on the market. The clean and simple lines of the One Shot come with an unbeatable flex and feel delivered in a lightweight package.
That same mindset led Nike SB to create the One Shot Best Trick Contest. Traditional skateboarding obstacles are great but what if boundaries are pushed and the unexpected becomes your battleground?
The result is a polygon obstacle that can be approached from every angle. Imagination and creativity are mandatory to tame this beast where the unthinkable is likely to happen.
If you feel you are ready to challenge this futuristic obstacle then make sure to participate in one of the following events:
Paris – 01.03.2014
Barcelona – 08.03.2014
London – 23.03.2014
The format is simple: One Day, One Obstacle, One Trick. A jury of two Nike SB riders and one local ambassador will be judging the session and will pick the two riders who in their opinion have pulled the best trick during the day.
The final will be at the BaySixty6 Skatepark in London where all qualified riders will be invited to battle for the grand prize: a four day trip for the winner plus a friend to the freshly opened Nike SB Shelter in Berlin.
Each skater who qualifies to the final will team up with a Nike SB rider from his or her respective country of origin. It means six teams of two will ultimately battle for the Berlin VIP treatment.
