Real Skateboards "The Real Video/Since Day One" intro redux

So we all know that on the intro for “Since Day One”, Real Skateboards were paying homage to the intro for their very first release “The Real Video” that came out back in 1993.

How many people know about the controversy that was involved in getting the original intro together back in the day, that almost cost then Real filmer and team manager Dave Metty his job?
