Korahn Gayle

Korahn Gayle, currently sponsored by companies including Madison, Red Bull, Skate Cafe and Nike SB, is one of the finest skating talents to emerge from Bristol in many years, and one of the most exciting and stylish skaters in the UK. Since bursting onto the scene, he has gone from strength to strength, making an impression both at home and abroad.

In 2010, he took fifth place at the UKSA British Skateboarding Championships, and he then walked away with the Best Trick prize at the same event the following year for an excellently executed fakie flip fakie nosegrind down t’hubba. In 2012, he gained valuable experience at the BaySixty6 relaunch in London, as well as reaching the semi-finals at Simple Session.

Korahn was born on 3rd March 1988 in Bristol and continues to be based in the city. He began skating in 2000, and, after getting his first proper section in Louis Gane’s Bristol In Bloom in 2004, the sponsorship deals started coming in, including Route One in Bath, Bristol legend Danny Wainwright’s Fifty Fifty skateshop (a company he still represents), Howies, Dave Mackey’s East, Krooked and Crayon.

Korahn appeared in Fifty Fifty’s savage 2013 summer promo, filmed and edited by George Nevin, in which he took out a series of Bristol spots in style. The same year, he also went on a Red Bull excursion to Cagliari, Sardinia, where he could be seen ollieing benches, nosegrinding ledges and varial kickflipping gaps while making videos and doing photoshoots with Nevin and Gane.
