Yesterday saw teams from The Black Sheep, Fifty Fifty, The Ledge, Switch, Halfpipe, Lost Art, Parlour, Big Woody’s, Route One and more take to The XC in Hemel Hempstead for the 2012 Vans “Shop Riot”. Manchester’s The Black Sheep took the win for the third time, earning themselves a trip to the finals in Munster later in the year.

Scouse ripper and Lost Artist Andy “Evs” Evans is now on the full Crayon Skateboards team!

Here’s what Dykie has to say…

“Since my working relationship with Mackey ended with East, we have stayed good friends and he has given me some helpful tips whilst doing Crayon. I was looking for a flow rider about a year and a half ago and Mackey said about ‘Evs’ who was on Lost Art (Mackey’s shop); I did not need to see any footage or anything, I fully respected Mackey’s opinion so I gave him a couple of boards. I later met him at a big comp and he just went home about an hour later! I thought “that’s weird” and made me think about sponsoring him to be honest but I still carried Mackey’s judgement with me so I decided to give him a second chance. After a few trips to Liverpool I have fully changed my mind; he kills it in nicest humble way, reminding me of Korahn when he was 18 and now I am very proud to call Andy ‘Evs’ Evans the newest member of the full team.”

Evs first Crayon part is due to drop soon – keep a keen eye out…
