The infamous Slam City basement is about have another makeover, this time around from new tenants Vans. The official opening of the Vans X Slam City takeover will be taking place this coming Thursday, March 8th, showcasing the Vans Pro Skate range and highly coveted Vans Syndicate line, alongside an all new “Selected Memory” exhibition of photography from Greg Hunt.

All the fun and whatnot kicks off at 6pm – get there if you can!

The first spot we hit in Nottiinghamshire was Kirkby. Guess what? School holidays...

After a few hours in the car, everyone was feeling the need for a lower level of impact and Horsley knew a spot round the corner.

A.V.E. wasn't gonna be defeated by the rough tarmac run up or the curb at the bottom of the bank.

Sorted.

With a long list of Merseyside spots to hit, an early start to our second day was needed.

Jetlag for breakfast?

Geoff set up a fresh rig for the day.

We headed down to New Bird for a warm up before checking out the Dock Road Banks.

Geoff shook off the jetlag.

Greg - logging footage within the first ten minutes.

We headed out to Edge Lane to see what was left of the old park...

A trip to the local hardware store later and we were in business.

How to hit this thing?

This bank was just as rough as the others.

As Geoff got used to the derelict tarmac, more and more scallies descended into the park. Five minutes later we had to call it when masses of tracksuits turned up.
