As the Forum/Instagram/Twitter/Facebook lurkers out there will already be aware, Dan Magee officially parted ways with Blueprint Skateboards last week following a fifteen year stint at the creative helm of the company…

“A few years ago, I decide to invest a skate business, that I felt would secure my future working in skateboarding and help push Blueprint & its riders forward. Ironically, certain events meant this investment had the opposite effect of my original intentions. As a result, I was not able to work on Blueprint with the same passion I used to have. Although this transition has been ongoing over the past two years, recent events have helped me to decide that it’s time to officially move on from my 15 years as Creative Director at Blueprint and concentrate on ‘the day job’. Thanks and respect to all those who have been involved with Blueprint along the way and all those that had my back when I needed it. Thanks to Paul Shier who continues to run the brand, as he has during my last couple of years on ‘hiatus’. I still hope to film, work in and be involved with skateboarding on a freelance and personal level for years to come. Audi 5000. Dan Magee”

After recovering most of the files from a damaged hard drive, John Fisher has finally managed to get the first edit of the Exist video “Be Good Now” online.

As you probably remember, last summer Nike took over a soon to be demolished swimming pool in East London and installed a one off BMX focused park called “The Pool”. Though the park was mainly used by BMXers from literally all over the world, two evenings were set aside for invite only skate sessions, footage from which is now online courtesy of Dan Magee and John Fisher.

Plagued by bad weather, multiple Injuries and bad hangovers, the Crayon Skateboards team spent the weekend after their recent Pro Party putting on sessions at Cardiff plaza and the freshly opened Exist Skatepark in Swansea.

As speculated on Monday, the Exist Clothing video “Be Good Now” is set to premiere at the Exist Skatepark opening on the 18th of June at around 7pm.

With all new footage from Nicky Howells, Dylan Hughes, Jess Young, Welsh Tommy, Sam Austin and Jack Kirtley, the video has been put together by John Fisher and is set to be a straight up banger!

The Exist Skatepark Grand Opening – Swansea, June 18th

It’s been a long time in the making, but after several delays and countless weeks of hard graft, the Exist Skatepark in Swansea is finally completed and will be unveiled to the world this coming Saturday, June 18th.

Doors open at midday, entry for the day will cost a mere fiver and the Exist crew will be putting on demos throughout the afternoon. The evening will see a host of local bands and DJ’s playing in the bar, with rumours also currently circulating that the Exist video may also be getting premiered on Saturday night too.
