Get Lesta ‘What’s Cookin’?’ – online soon exclusively through Sidewalk!

That is correct – Callun Loomes’ 2012 Get Lesta DVD, the epic ‘What’s Cookin’?', will be making its way online in the very near future, exclusively through the Sidewalk website!

Starting from next week, every Monday and Wednesday we’ll be bringing you full sections from the likes of Will Golding, Kris Vile, Eric Thomas, Sam Taylor, Mike Simonds, Kelley Dawson, Shaz and Luke McManus, with appearances from various other Midlands types.

If you watched any of the recent G-Sides edits then you know you’re in for a visual treat here – take in the all new teaser below for a taste of things to come then check back on Monday for the first section!

‘For The Kings’ – RIP The Boardroom edit from Get Lesta.

So this last weekend saw The Boardroom in Leicester close its doors for the final time, as the King family (that’s Dave,Tina and Vicky) left the indoor skatepark game to concentrate their efforts on Tilt Coffee House.

The Get Lesta crew decided to give the King’s a fitting send off by filming one final clip in the park, the fruits of which are online right now.

Have a look below to see what Shumba King, Eric Thomas, Mike Simons and the rest of the crew got up to during the parks final days, and massive props to the King family for their continued dedication to the Leicester scene.

Callun Loomes takes you behind the scenes of filming for the 2012 Midlands scene video What’s Cookin’? with his all new series of offcuts, slams, outtakes and more entitled the ‘Get Lesta G-Sides’.

First up is Shehzad Jaffer, with Kelley Dawson, Joe Marks, Kris Vile, Eric Thomas, Will Golding, Luke McManus and Mike Simons to follow over the course of the coming weeks.

Barcelona with Eric Thomas, Mike Simons, Joe Marks…

The Ledge Skateshop in Leicester sent team riders Eric Thomas and Mike Simons to Barcelona last week to compete in My DC Crew’s ongoing shop comp at The DC Embassy.

In between sessioning the park, Eric, Mike and Forde Brookfield hit the streets of BCN to film this short street clip – also featuring Timmy Garbett and Joe Marks.

Dave and the crew at Leicester’s long serving indoor establishment The Boardroom are moving on from skatepark life to pastures new in early March, with the final weekend confirmed as being Saturday 2nd/Sunday 3rd. The park will then reopen under new ownership with a new name shortly after – have a read of the two flyers below for further info.

All of us here at Sidewalk would like to extend thanks to Dave, Tina, Vicky, Trevor, Helen and everyone else at The Boardroom for all they’ve done for the Leicester scene over the years. Shatterproof rulers one and all.

Obviously the Get Lesta crew are hard at work filming a final send off clip for the park which will no doubt drop shortly after the parks closing weekend – more on that one soon…

Over the course of the last 18 months, Chris Johnson has spent his fair share of time around the Midlands with the Get Lesta crew as they were working on their recent full length scene video “What’s Cookin’?”. To coincide with the DVD’s release, CJ has come through with a two part exclusive online gallery, made up of shots from the video that have been previously seen in the mag, along with a load of behind the scenes style fodder from their missions too.

With Will Golding, Eric Thomas, Joe Marks, Kelley Dawson, Kris Vile and the rest of the squad.
