The Teeside and whole UK scene did us proud yesterday, as upwards of 150 people braved the weather and descended upon Five Bridges in Gateshead to send off Steve “Bingo” Binks in a overly fitting style! Heads from all over the country were in attendance to celebrate the life and memory of Bingo, including local legends, reclusive Northern types and familiar faces galore.

On Saturday afternoon, X-Site Skatepark in Skegness played host to the second annual “Seaside Showdown” event, which saw a strong mixture of locals and faces from further afield heading to the east coast plaza to get involved. The weather was on point all day, the atmosphere was good and pretty much everybody present left with some product or a bit of cash in their pocket.

The UK BMX community was out in full force in Leeds on Saturday for the “King For A Day” BMX jam at Hyde Park, in memory of local rider and all round top geezer Charles Prow, who sadly passed away last year on 16/07/2009.

Despite the slightly temperamental weather earlier on, riders from all over the country made the trek to Leeds for the day, with a massive turnout, heavy boozing, seriously good vibes and the addition of some DIY extensions dotted around the park. As the day wore on and light started to fade, Joe Lynskey and Tom Harrison decided to join in and film a couple of bangers for the occasion – take a look below.
