Carl Richards ‘Celebration of Life’ Jam – Newport, May 12th.

On April 15th, the UK skate community suffered a massive blow as South Wales legend Carl Richards passed away.

Carl was a bowl enthusiast, a regular face at UK events and will be greatly missed by all.

The entire Welsh skate scene will be out in force this coming Sunday May 12th for a special ‘Celebration of Life’ jam at Newport Skatepark. The session officially kicks off at 1pm so get yourself to South Wales and shred in memory of Carl!

Newport Halloween Skate Jam and “Ordinary Madness” premiere – Oct 31st.

The Welsh will be celebrating Halloween properly this year, with a “Night of the Living Carve” jam at the Tredeger park, followed by Goon FM’s Le Pub official afterparty which will also host the Welsh premiere of Death Skateboards new flick, Ordinary Madness.

Newport Skatepark’s “RIP Jam” – Collins, Pulley, Habgood…

As we previously reported on the site, Newport’s existing skatepark is set to be demolished in the near future, so last weekend the Newport crew and friends from further afield gave the place a proper send off with one hectic RIP Jam.

Stop Newport skatepark being demolished!

In a shock move, Newport City Council are planning on tearing down the cities skatepark – known locally as The Edge – to make way for yet more football facilities on the site.

Click the image below and sign the online petition to help tell the council that they should not be taking away the skatepark until a similar or better park of equal or greater size has been built elsewhere in the city to replace the well used set-up.
