“Zarosh was injured for a long time when we were filming this. But the extended deadline worked out well and so we get to see him creating as well as annihilating concrete in various parts of the world on this section. I like the fact that his Dad has skate footage in there, and the track he is skating to is by Tornado Rider which his brother is in. (Go and see them if you get the chance!).” – Nick Zorlac.

“Dan was a bit concerned about his section in this video; not enough inspiration he thought, not enough footage.
But when he sat down with Mark Nicolson to begin piecing his section together his self-doubt was unfounded. Dan is a true skateboarding veteran with lots of imagination and a huge bag of tricks, constantly travelling and filming. So in the end there was actually more than enough footage to make a video part that we were all really happy with. The fact that Richie Jackson was particularly looking forward to see what Mr Cates had been up to speaks volumes.” – Nick Zorlac.

“After the months and years of anticipation, one of my favourite parts about us putting a Death video together is seeing the final outcome of Richie and Patrick’s work. The ‘no rules’ approach means I never know what to expect, apart from the fact I will never be disappointed.

This section is so well crafted that it is easy not to notice each riders precise synchronization with the music and vocals.

‘I like montages as it means that we still get to see riders who have not got a full section due to injuries, responsibilities etc but are still an important part of the company.
Ronny Calow has been on Death for 15 years. And after all this time I’m stoked to see him not only still skating with the enthusiasm of a teenager but also totally immersed in skateboarding. (Supporting his local scene with him and his brother Danny’s skate store, LEGACY in Darlington.) The run up and out of Ronny last trick was so rough (its in a crusty, ancient old pond) that I thought what he did was not possible until I saw the tape.
Steak is energised as always, flying around like a wild man. I rate his tucked, tweaked approach to the humble frontside boneless.
Schooner has been injured which sucks as I always enjoy his footage but still manages a short but sweet beer fuelled appearance.
Speaking of road sodas, Rhys Grogan is hitting the streets as capably as ever and I like the fact that his footage not only shows him pulling some gnarly manoeuvres but also what shines through is that he’s having a good time as is everyone around him.’ – Nick Zorlac.

“Rob attacks life head on, full bore. He’s constantly jetting off here or there, skating all over the world. Living a crazy life. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be possible to capture even a small part of his particular brand of madness on a section, its spontaneous stuff. But as it turns out, I think we do get a decent glimpse into Rob world. The gnar, unusual tricks, drunken antics, the killer soundtrack by Manchesters Broke’N'£nglish, in my eyes all add up to a refreshing, and very watchable video part.”- Nick Zorlac.
