For 17 years Bay Sixty6 has stood as a landmark for London skating, with numerous epic demos, team trips and comps going down under the Westway flyover at the edge of Notting Hill. Now after almost 2 months of refurbishment that has seen the whole park stripped out, cleaned up and rebuilt courtesy of Nike, Bay Sixty6 is almost ready to open it’s doors once again. Complete with a multi level street course, hydraulic ledge, planter, non technical section and a hipped wooden bowl, it will soon be back as the number 1 undercover spot in London.

Nike have put up a number of ‘skate preview passes’ that will entitle a hand full of people the opportunity to session this brand new park before the doors officially open. For a chance to be the first to experience this new piece of London skate lore with your crew simply share your photos, videos and stories of this legendary park. Visit www.facebook.com/BaySixty6 for details. You must be 18+ to enter.

Made any plans for Go Skateboarding Day this year yet? If not then you might want to make travel arrangements to get to London next Thursday, June 21st, as Nike are set to put on one memorable day in the nations capital.

Join Sean Malto, Youness Amrani, Lewis Marnell and Wieger Van Wageningen, alongside Fernando Bramsmark, Tim Zom, Chris Jones, Neil Smith, Daniel Kinloch, Joey Pressey and Korahn Gayle as they make their way around some of London’s most iconic spots, including Southbank and Stockwell, finishing up the day at with a demo and signing session at BaySixty6.

Follow Nike Skateboarding on Twitter and Instagram for clues and updates about when and where the crew will be

The evening’s session will also serve as a send off for the current BaySixty6 set up, as the following day Nike close the doors to the public and start renovation works at the park.

Hit up the new BaySixty6 Facebook page to keep track of progress during the renovation and also take a look back at the history and heritage of the notorious London park.

More details and whatnot on the revamp soon soon, but get to London next Thursday and get involved.
