Following their looting in last Monday nights riots, Birmingham’s Ideal Skate Store is now back up and running in a temporary location elsewhere in the Custard Factory.

Kris, Zippy, Bob and the rest of the Ideal mob can now be found occupying the unit at 7 Gibb Street, so make sure to pop by and show some support the next time you’re passing through town. Also, the Ideal website has been updated with all remaining stock, so if you can’t make it to the shop in person, feel free to make a couple of purchases online instead.

Manchester Vans Store looting footage – watch it and act now!

Footage from Monday nights looting of the Manchester Vans Store has surfaced online – watch the clip below now and if you do recognise anybody in the video then please get in touch with Manchester police.

In other related news, Ideal Skateshop in Birmingham will be re-opening this coming Saturday at a temporary location in The Custard Factory following their looting during Monday evenings riots. Keep an eye on the Support Ideal Facebook Page for more info.

UK riots hit Birmingham and Manchester skate shops.

As the well publicised rioting continues to spread throughout the UK, skate shops in Manchester and Birmingham were hit by mindless looting last night – after supporting the scene for more than twenty years, Ideal Skateshop in Birmingham was hit during looting in the Digbeth area, with decks and clothing been taken. Further up the M6 in Manchester, the Vans Store in the Northern Quarter could be seen getting looted on a variety of news channels, this time with shoes and clothing been stolen.

Our thoughts obviously go out Zippy, Bob, Kris and everyone else at Ideal, and Tez, Harry, Powley and the rest at the Manchester Vans Store.

Skaters in Manchester and Birmingham, be on the lookout for anyone trying to offload cheap skate product over the coming weeks and report them to the police.
