Yorkshire-cana shredder Serious Sam Barrett has teamed up with local double-bassist Martyn Roper to give his original material more of a rock n’ roll edge – and it’s sounding f*cking rad!

The 2011 “Leeds Film Festival” has collaborated with Yadig? Records to host a folk film showcase featuring our favourite Needleside slashing singer songwriter, Serious Sam Barrett. Get to the HiFi Club in Leeds on Wednesday November 16th where Sam will be both performing live, as well as screening Hardeep Pandhal’s new documentary about him, “Sam At 30″, alongside a handpicked selection of rarely seen American folk shorts.
