Relentless Short Stories – “All In” with Willow and Lennie

The next edit from this years Relentless “Short Stories” film making competition is now in, this time around featuring none other than German legends Lennie Burmeister and Christoph “Willow” Wildgrub, filmed and edited by Mark Nickels.

Set in the streets of Berlin, Mark, Willow and Lennie aim to paint a stirring picture of what it is to love your sport. Not to do it for the fame or the glory, but to make sacrifices, work jobs you don’t want to, all for those moments when the wheels hit the pavement and everything just slips away behind you. Set against the back drop of the Berlin streets, Mark succeeds in bringing this unpredictable city to life.

Relentless Short Stories – Ben Nordberg’s “Flight of Passage” by James Gardner

As you might have seen whilst flicking through the Folklore pages of the newest mag, James Gardner recently paired up with Ben Nordberg to work on their submission for the 2010 Relentless “Short Stories” film-making competition.

Well, James and Ben’s entry “Flight of Passage” is now online, combining James’ distinctive intertwining of HD footage and Super8 film, some trademark nonchalance from Ben, and a personal narrative bringing the whole piece together from the Beta Band’s very own Steve Mason.
