The Sidewalk Forum “Summer of Love” edit is here and commands your full respect. Mods, Übermensch’s, Ultra Kings, Goons, lurkers, second accounts, banned users and more – they’re all included in this mammoth 8 minute journey that was crafted by Forumites around the globe over the course of the past summer.

Massive, massive props to everyone involved in getting this one together – you’ve done yourselves proud…

DVS “Hook Me Up” 2010 – first entries now in!

After a couple of years off, the good people at DVS have decided to re-start their “Hook Me Up” comp this year in the search for raw British skateboard talent.

The idea is pretty basic, simply film and edit a minute and a half long clip of yourself or your local unsung hero, upload it to Mpora.com with “dvshookmeup” in the tags, then pimp it out on blogs, Facebook, the Sidewalk forum etc etc.

DVS will be accepting upload entries until February 15th 2011, with online voting for the final five hand-picked videos lasting for a month, and an eventual decision from DVS announced March 15th.

A sticky thread is set to appear on the Sidewalk Forum in the very near future where all entries will be viewable as they come in.

See the advert below for all the info you currently need (scroll underneath that for text…), get filming, get uploading and stay tuned for updates and further details!

The text reads (in case the poster is too small for your eyes…)

“Grab your filmer buddy, hit the streets and submit your entry for a chance to win a full year of sponsorship from DVS. And because we like to share the wealth, your filmer will also get a care package from us.
All entries should be from unsponsored or shop sponsored skateboarders – if you are already hooked up, your video will be disqualified.
All entries can only be 1’30″ (one minute and thirty seconds) max, so make sure it’s filled with your best footage!
Once you are done editing, upload your clip on mpora.com and make sure you tag it “dvshookmeup”.
Deadline is set on the 15th of February 2011. After that, the higher forces of British skateboarding will gather and pick the top five of all entries. These five videos will then be subject to public vote.
If you think you’ve got what it takes, go out and make it happen!”

After several deadline extensions, countless reminders and no shortage of late night edit sessions, the artist known as “Pasnip2000″ has done the Sidewalk Forum proud by collecting footage from an all manner of Forum regulars and putting together the first successful “Summer of Love” edit.

See below to witness what a large cross-section of Forumers get up to when not posting up pictures of goth girls, sharing music links and talking about skating – with summertime hammers from August and September, featuring the likes of Bogie, Anonymity, Pervert, Yellowmedia, Tomday, thebighoppa, roncalow, Blinky, Hugo and more!
