Camp WESC UK with Mark Baines and Benny Fairfax – Truro, August.

Mark Baines and Benny Fairfax have been working hard on this one for a while now, but it was announced late last week that the first ever UK “Camp WESC” will be taking place in Cornwall this August. Having already proven to be successful in Europe over the last few years, WESC are hoping to gather up to 60 people for a five day camp in Truro, with accommodation, coaching, daily sessions at the Truro Plaza, meals, 24/7 supervision and a bunch of WESC, Blueprint and DVS gear thrown in for the £380 sign up price.

Confirmed tutors for the five day camp include WESC riders Mark Baines, Benny Fairfax, Wieger Van Wageningen and Josh Young, with friends Paul Regan, Danny Brady, Paul Shier, Jody Smith and Daniel ‘Snowy’ Kinloch also in attendance.

If you fancy passing on a week of your summer holidays skating one of the UKs finest street plazas with some of Europes leading pro’s, then you’ll probably want to be signing up to this now before it fills up!

Crawley Freestyle Association – skateboarding tutoring 2011 info!

Lucy Adams dropped us a line to let you all know about the Crawley Freestyle Association’s updated skateboarding tutoring plans for 2011…

“Continuing on from the success of the 2010 Junior Skateboard Coaching Programme, Crawley Borough Council in partnership with the Crawley Freestyle Association introduces new course information for the 2011 season. This year sees a bit of a switch up, and sessions will run in blocks of 5. Pre-booking is essential.

This year groups will be split into ability levels and therefore – Beginners courses will be for those new to skateboarding and those that want an introduction to skatepark riding. Intermediate courses are for those that are more competent and that want to develop their skills including kickturns, ollies and bowl riding.

Vans/Progression Easter Camp 2011 – Ramp City, Blackpool

The Vans and Progression joint Easter Camp is returning to Ramp City, Blackpool, next month for it’s third year of skateboard tutoring and Easter Holiday time killing.
