The latest “Capsule” clip from Magenta Skateboards is now online, with Soy Panday, Jimmy Lannon, Leo Valls and Vivien Feil hitting up Paname (or Paris, if you prefer) throughout the end of 2011 and the early months of 2012. As ever, the clip also features cameos from locals and visiting friends.

A Day In The World Park – Episode 1: New World Order

Socrates Leal is clearing out the vault of old World Industries park footage via a new series of 30 Shot web videos entitled “A Day At The World Park”.

Episode 1 sees Shiloh Greathouse hitting the park back whilst filming for “New World Order” was in full swing, around about 1992/1993, with Steve Cales, Daewon Song and a couple of other friends in tow…

Welcome x ATF x Sami Graystone – “Street Meat” launch blog online now!

Last Friday night saw A Third Foot, Leeds artist Sami Graystone and Serious Sam Barrett take over Welcome Skatestore for the launch of ATF’s new “Street Meat” board series.

Free beers were sunk, a selection of Sami’s artwork adorned the walls, Doug McLaughlan’s new “Street Meat” promo section was played on loop, and Serious Sam knocked out a full set of his trademark Yorkshire-Folk bangers!

Keep an eye out for a full write up from the evening in the Folklore pages of the next issue, but for now, browse a selection of photos from the night, shot by Gregory Adams. Sami’s work will remain on show in the shop for the next 6 weeks, so be sure to drop by if you’re passing through town.

Unabomber and Heathen take to The Ledge Tradeshow 2011.

Derby Daz gathered together a ramshackle crew of Unabomber and Heathen characters and headed south to The Ledge Tradeshow in London last week, coming home with this daft as you like edit of the mission focusing on booze, stickers, girls and comedy. With a bit of skating thrown in for good measure.

With Kelley Dawson, Nick Roberts, Bambi, Daryl Nobbs and Martyn Hill, and appearances from some girls, Nicky Howells, Nick Remon, Ben Rowles, a dragon, more girls, a unicorn, Tez and Harry the Gaffer.

As the well publicised rioting continued to spread throughout the UK, skate shops in Manchester and Birmingham were hit by mindless looting on Monday night – after supporting the scene for more than twenty years, Ideal Skateshop in Birmingham was hit during looting in the Digbeth area, with decks and clothing been taken. Further up the M6 in Manchester, the Vans Store in the Northern Quarter could be seen getting looted on a variety of news channels, this time with shoes and clothing been stolen.

Our thoughts obviously go out Zippy, Bob, Kris and everyone else at Ideal, and Tez, Harry, Powley and the rest at the Manchester Vans Store.

Skaters in Manchester and Birmingham, be on the lookout for anyone trying to offload cheap skate product over the coming weeks and report them to the police.

Go ‘like’ the Support Ideal Facebook Page and check the footage of the Manchester Vans Store looting to see if you can help identify any of the idiots responsible.
