Volcom’s annual AmsterDamn Am weekend wrapped up on Sunday just gone, with heads from all over the world flying into town in order to battle it out for their share of the hefty prize purse on offer.

AmsterDamn Am, Volcom’s annual Dutch based amateur showdown, is returning to the Skatepark Amsterdam at the start of July, taking over the weekend of July 6th-8th.

As ever, a heavy line up of am’s from around the world will no doubt be in attendance, in hope of taking home a healthy portion of the 10,000 Euro prize purse and earning themselves a place at this years Tampa Am event.

From June 25th the official AmsterDamn Am website will be live, where you can check out rider profiles, photos, videos, warm up shenanigans and more.

After almost 12 years of service, the Skatepark Amsterdam, an institution not only for locals but visitors from all corners of the world, is in danger of being closed in order to make way for a “more lucrative venue”.

In order to stop this travesty from happening, Skatepark Amsterdam need as many signatures on their online petition as humanly possible. Sign the petition, get your parents to sign it, your neighbors, grandparents, family pets and anyone else you can think of – the more signatures the better, obviously.
