After a long few months of continuous hard graft, Nike SB are just about ready to unveil the new-look Bay Sixty6 skatepark to the world! This coming Saturday, September 15th, will see a free public session at the park from 3pm, with what will no doubt be one of the demos of the year kicking off at 5pm as Justin Brock, Wieger Van Wageningen, Theotis Beasley, Sean Malto and Fernando Bramsmark joining UK Nike SB heads Korahn Gayle, Neil Smith, Chris Jones, Jak Pietryga, Joey Pressey, Daniel Kinloch and new team rider Kyron Davis attack the new set up.

The future of BaySixty6 skatepark in London is currently in doubt, as The Westway Development Trust are seeking planning permission to turn the area where the park is situated, under the A40, into a garden centre and office space, stating that “the skatepark does not serve needs of the local youths”.

Obviously this is a ridiculous claim, and as such, an online petition and associated Facebook group have been created to try changed The Westway Development and Kensington and Chelsea Council’s minds on the matter.

As ever, each of you reading this needs to sign the petition, then spread the word as far and wide as possible to help secure the future of the park.
