Trevor Johnson wins Volcom’s “Txotx 2011″ mini ramp contest!

Saturday saw the fifth annual Volcom “Txotx” mini ramp contest take place in Durango, with the UK’s very own Trevor “All Terrain Trev” Johnson reportedly smashing it in the finals and walking away with first place and the €5,000 prize which goes with it! Good work Trev! Greg Nowik unsurprisingly found himself joining Trev on the podium and occupying second place, with Kris Vile also holding it down for the UK in the finals and finishing up eighth.

The finals shaped up as follows…

1st – Trevor Johnson-5000 €
2nd – Greg Nowik-2000€
3rd – Roura-1000€
4th – Dany Leon-500€
5th – David Sanchez-400€
6th – Xan Beheran-300€
7th – Diego Doural-200€
8th – Kris Vile-100€

Vans “Off The Wall Spring Classic” 2011 footage

Last weekend saw several UK heads fly out to the 2011 Vans “Off The Wall Spring Classic” mini ramp comp in Varazze, Italy.

There was no placings as such, but pretty much everyone present walked away with some cash and a special award from the day. Check the UK heavy edit of the weekend now, with Jake Collins, Sam Beckett, Kris Vile, Ben Grove, Josh “Manhead” Young, Ross McGouran, Greg Nowik, Trevor Johnson and others.

Volcom’s annual mini ramp comp returns to ISPO!

Yep, the annual Volcom mini ramp comp is set to go off again at this years ISPO tradeshow, which takes place in Munich in a little over two weeks on February 6th, 7th and 8th.

This years theme is “Stoney Mountain”, with confirmed UK riders including Rob Smith, Sam Pulley, Josh “Manhead” Young, Greg Nowik, Jake Collins, Ben Devine, Darryl Nobbs, Trevor Johnson, Mark “T-Bag” Murray, Josh Parr, Stu Graham, Ben Nordberg, Andy Scott, Eddie Belvedere, Awadh Mohammed and all the usual European suspects.

Tony Hawk and Friends: Brighton – UK Session

Wednesday night saw Brighton seafront play home to the final stop of the Quiksilver “Tony Hawk and Friends” European Tour, with Tony and his crew putting on an hour long demo in front of a sold out 3,300 people strong crowd.

Prior to Tony et al taking to the ramp, Trevor Johnson, Sam Bosworth, Pete King, Alex Halford, Sam Beckett and Andy Scott put on a sick UK session to warm up the atmosphere – see what went down for yourself now!

Vans “Off the Wall Spring Classic” results and first edit

The UK contingent returned from Vans “Off the Wall Spring Classic” mini ramp comp in Varazze, Italy, yesterday, holding down five of the six top spots between them!

Marseilles local Guillaume Mocquin walked away with a well deserved first place, followed by Ross McGouran, Greg Nowik, Trevor Johnson, Josh “Manhead” Young and Jake Collins, who all placed second to sixth respectively! Andy Scotts’ board got lost in transit, though his one run of boneless variations on a borrowed set-up saw him still finish up twentieth. Knucks all round!
