Support Reiss Johnson’s Manchester Vert Ramp Fund!

Stockport youth and Heathen Skateboards rider Reiss Johnson is on a mission to get Manchester a much needed vert ramp – read his words below then act accordingly…

“Manchester has been trying to gain a vert ramp for many years now, and with the upcoming construction of Beast Rampz Skatepark in Ardwick it seemed like a good opportunity for the vert community.

After getting in touch with Tim – the owner of the soon to be skatepark – he informed me a vert ramp could be a possibility. After looking at the building we decided that a vert ramp could fit in, however would be very expensive. We costed out the ramp and came to a figure of £6000 to cover materials. A private investor has already covered 50% of the cost and so we need around £3000 for the rest. We are currently in talks with possible sponsors meaning that this number could be even lower soon!

The skatepark build is set to commence this month (Jan 2013) and is looking to be finished late spring/early summer 2013. With your help we can start the vert ramp build within this timeframe also!

We need you to help us out by donating whatever you can in order to make it possible for Manchester to finally get a decent Vert ramp. Any donation is welcome! Whether it is big or small!

Scotland’s all new North Berwick vert ramp is going to be having its first proper jam this coming Saturday, February 25th, via the invite only “Radical Scottish Vert Party”.

The event is invite only, so if you’re planning on being in attendance you need to email Dixon at shralpyabass@hotmail.com in advance.

The vertical antics kick off at 7pm and are expected to tun until 10pm, with a booze budget and plenty of prizes to go around.
