Vans “Ten Tricks” with Nick Remon.

Remember the last time when it didn’t rain? Way back in March? When the sun was out? And it was warm? Well, Superdead Skateboards Chelmsfordian connection Nick Remon spent a few of those sunny hours down Wakefield Skatepark filming a rad “Ten Tricks” edit for Vans.

Paul Silvester has unearthed a bunch of unseen footage from the legendary Rehab Skatepark, Wakefield, filmed over the late 90′s and featuring Silvester alongside Firth, Smiley John, Gnome and various other Yorkshire heads of the time.

Take a trip down memory lane below – this one is dubbed “Part 1″ so I’m hoping Man has got more Wakey radness lurking in the vaults…

An edit of the 1995 Easter Comp at the legendary Rehab Skatepark in Wakefield has surfaced online, featuring a whole load of rare 17 year old footage from a wide variety of UK heads at the time.

Sorry for the lack of the Sunday Service newsletter this week – rest assured it will be making its usual appearance in your inboxes next Sunday morning as normal.

Anyway, this week we bring you the Wakefield native, one time Unabomber am and current Lovenskate Catalan representative Liam Sproat’s section from the first Ravenous DVD release. The majority of his section here was filmed during Kennelly and Silent Will’s 2008 expedition to Alicante to visit Liam whilst he was living out there working and studying for a year, with some footage from his second home of Sheffield thrown in for good measure!

If you were wondering if the now full time Barcelona resident had any new video footage in the pipeline, he recently finished off filming a part for James Cruickshank’s upcoming Sheffield DVD “Brass Monkey”, which should be appearing soon. Keep an eye out…

Through The Eyes Of: Josh “Manhead” Young

Right before the winter made it practically impossible to skate outdoors in the north, we hung out around Leeds with WESC and Route One rider Josh “Manhead” Young on the day of his Unabomber board launch party.

Follow Manhead as he has breakfast and shoot BB shotguns with Nic Powley, hits up a couple of spots and parks across West Yorkshire, spends an evening at The Works with a variety of team-mates and friends, then winds up at A Nation Of Shopkeepers for the first look at his pro board.
